Walking & Hiking
Lanzarote is a fantastic walking location with a year-round climate which typically stays above 20C (max. daytime temp) and with relatively little rainfall - in the Spring the landscape can transform with blooms of wild flowers.

Golfing
Lanzarote is also a fantastic location for year-round golfing with temperatures which typically stay above 20C (max. daytime temp) and relatively little rainfall.
Villa Essence is just 5 mins away by car from the 18-hole par 72 course Lanzarote Golf, which is located between Tias and Puerto del Carmen.
With four par 3's, ten par 4's and four par 5's the course has been created by the well-known North American Ron Kirby, chief project designer for Jack Nicklaus. He has given the maximum respect to the original land and typical Lanzarotenean landscape with its undulations and old stone walls. The situation of the course in the higher zone of Puerto del Carmen offers the player spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean as far as Arrecife and to Fuerteventura and Lobos.
Watersports
Lanzarote is a mecca for all kinds of watersports with some excellent locations for surfing, wind and kite surfing, SCUBA, sailing and swimming.
Villa Essence is just 20 mins away by car from the sweeping natural sand bay at Famara, to the north of the island, which catches the best of the wind and surfing conditions.
In the other direction the villa is just 10 minutes by car from the beaches at Puerto del Carmen and the marina in Puerto Calero.
